A few weeks back we received an email from a customer that read…
“Thank you Kloter Farms for our awesome shed. We are so pleased with the quality of this structure. As you can see we didn’t go with the traditional lawn mower storage!
From start to finish, here’s our Pub Shed!

Attached were several photos the customer wanted us to share with our team. We loved them so much, that we decided to do a photoshoot of their “shed.” Jessica, who takes many of our photos at Kloter Farms, and her assistant Courtney, got to meet with Vinnie & Beth and explore their beautiful Pub Shed.

Now Jess would like to share her experience with you.
“Vinnie and Beth are fun people! We were warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. Clearly, they are blessed with the gift of hospitality. I can see how their friends would be drawn to spend time with them and feel relaxed and comfortable in their presence. During the photoshoot, they were eager and helpful and willing to participate in any way. Vinnie’s passion is BBQ. He has two smokers and loves to craft the flavor and texture of beef and pork into tasty food for his friends. Hence the custom sign they had made…

They bought the shed in March and it was built in May. They shopped at Kloter Farms on a Sunday while we are closed, but later they bought it over the phone. The one they selected was a 12′ x 14′ T-1-11 New England Colonial. They bought it as a kit due to the tight access beside the house and exposed ledge on the hill in the back yard. (click here for more details) They shopped with the intent to create the TRS (The Red Shed)

Each decision along the way was affected by their end goal. Doors on the narrow end of the shed turned out to be a perfect layout for the area that was available to place the shed in. The high ceiling of the Colonial style was perfect for adding a fan and helping the shed feel “big.” Once they started, the project took about a month to complete and was finished in early July.

After shopping for a bar and not finding one of the right dimensions, Vinnie decided to build one himself, finishing the front with a stone veneer and color-changing LED lights. It’s the perfect height for their comfy black padded bar stools. Beautiful lights hang over the bar, accented with burlap cylinder lampshades. In addition to the kegerator behind the bar, Vinnie created shelves between the studs for storing and displaying liquor.

Beth did a great job shopping for all the red and black themed furniture and decor.
When you’re inside, you’d really never even think you’re in a shed. The floor is a deep cherry-ordered laminate wood, and the walls are painted light gray. There is room for 9 people to sit comfortably. Vinnie and Beth said that the most they’ve had in there at one time were 12 people, and it still felt like there was enough room. There is a TV, internet and a voice-activated sound system. A propane wall-mounted heater is being installed soon, to encourage friends to linger just a little longer as the season draws to winter.

Many people with a ledge in their backyard would probably consider it an inconvenience. Vinnie and Beth looked at the rock as an opportunity. They used it as a rugged entryway into their entertaining space. It’s almost as if it begins the transformation inside of you as you walk up the hill and then onto the rock, you are aware that you’re leaving one place and moving into another. The warmth of the fire and the circle of chairs draws you in. The smell of the campfire smoke combined with freshly split wood evokes a good and cozy feeling, encouraging me to find a seat and settle in.

I smile as I imagine how much fun it would be to gather here with my own friends. It’s very easy to see why Vinnie and Beth have poured their hearts into this project and why their friends would want to return again and again.”
