Say goodbye to throw-away furniture. At Kloter Farms, we believe in building heirloom-quality furniture that’s made to last for generations to come.

Our furniture is made from Appalachian hardwoods that come from the forests in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and West Virginia.

Tree Facts

In the United States, about a third of the land – that’s 728 million acres – is covered in forests. That’s around 70% of how much forest we had back in 1500. And guess what? Our forest area is getting bigger!

Today, we have more trees than we did 70 years ago. Scientists say there are about 230 billion trees in America’s forests – that’s like having 1,000 trees for every person. Plus, we’re planting more trees every year. On commercial land, we’re growing 31% more trees each year than we’re cutting down. That means there’s more wood in our forests now than there was in 1977 – 28 million cubic feet more!

Every year, the logging industry cuts down around 900 million trees in the U.S. But they’re also replanting about 2.5 billion trees. So, for every tree they cut, they’re planting more than two and a half new ones. That’s helping our forest stay healthy and thriving.

At Kloter Farms, we want to promote sustainability in the hardwood furniture industry.
